Features

When the fire-retardant solution is applied to wood, its texture remains unchanged and is not altered. Since it is a water-based product, it is absorbed into the wood and does not act like a varnish or oil on the wood’s surface.
The Treet fire-retardant solution is certified to meet the highest performance standard for wood protection, achieving fire-retardant class B-s1, d0.
For projects in which interior wood elements are treated with fire retardant, the warranty is lifetime, with no need for reapplication; for exterior projects (facades, wooden roofs, etc.), the solution is valid for 5 years.
The solution can be transparent, so that after application, the wood's natural color remains intact and unchanged, or the desired color code can be added to achieve the desired shade, whatever that may be.
Frequently Asked Questions
About Fire-Retardant Paint
Treet fire-retardant paint meets the B-s1, d0 fire-retardant class. This class represents the highest level of performance when it comes to protecting wood from fire.
The product can be applied with a spray gun or a brush. When using a spray gun, apply 3–4 coats; when using a brush, apply 4–6 coats.
Paint coverage depends directly on the type of wood to which the paint is applied, but as a general rule, coverage is 350 g/sq m.
Treet paint can be applied to and is compatible with any type of wood. The only requirement for the product to be applied correctly is that the wood must be able to absorb the paint. The product cannot be applied to wooden surfaces treated with varnish, oils, or other substances that prevent absorption.
When applied indoors, the product lasts a lifetime, and when applied outdoors—such as on wooden facades, wooden roofs, and so on—it lasts about 5 years.
The solution is based on water and other organic compounds. It has been used in preschools, schools, and zoos, and is certified and recognized as safe for the environment and for humans.
