FlareStix is a compact, Type S thermal aerosol automatic fire suppression module designed to protect battery packs, compact cabinets, and narrow enclosures where space is limited. With a slim profile of just 14 mm, FlareStix can be integrated directly into the risk area, providing localized protection where conventional fire suppression systems or larger devices cannot be installed effectively.
This product is suitable for applications where fires must be detected and suppressed quickly, particularly in enclosed spaces, lithium-ion battery packs, battery cabinets, charging stations, distribution boxes, and compact electrical equipment.
Automatic protection in very confined spaces
FlareStix can be activated automatically by heat when the temperature in the protected area reaches 175°C ± 15°C, or electrically via a 24 V DC fire alarm control panel or control system . Upon activation, the aerosol is rapidly discharged into the protected area, helping to extinguish the fire by inhibiting the combustion reaction.
A single FlareStix module protects up to 0.15 m³, and for larger spaces or packages, multiple modules can be installed, depending on the protected volume and the application configuration.

Installation in battery banks and confined spaces
FlareStix is installed directly in the protected area, depending on the volume of the enclosure. For thermal activation, the heat-sensitive cable is positioned over the risk area, away from live parts and high-temperature components.
It is recommended to maintain a minimum clearance of 50 mm in front of the nozzle, to avoid air leaks, and to install the device so that the nozzle is not directed toward the human body.
Important: Installation must be performed by professionally trained personnel. This product is not intended for use in explosive atmospheres, in the presence of strong oxidizing agents, or in the presence of reactive metals such as potassium and sodium.
